Nederlander- Brown is showing a major interest in the folkopera Lincoln and God based on the stage play of the same name.  Maryland composer John Ward music is inspiring.

Spoke to Stanley Browne of Browne-Nederlander yesterday about Margherita.  Bob Nederlander Jr. has now changed the financing strategy. He wantso investor for the whole production. Also showed a major interest in the folk opera Lincoln and God I am writing with Maryland composer John Ward.   Mr. Browne explained that Broadway has changed.   Once audiences were half tourists and half New Yorkers. Now 70 percent tourists—and tourists like musicals.
