Successful staging of Vandergrift! at Lincolnia in Virginia last night.

Some viewer comments

A note to let you know how much we enjoyed a staged reading of Tony Gallo's marvelous play "Vandergrift!" last night (Sept. 12) at the Lincolnia Senior Center in Fairfax County, VA. It should be required viewing for all borough residents, it's that good. For us, it brought back many fond memories. Inez is a Vandergrift native, of course, and after our marriage we spent nine years there before moving to Virginia in 1967. We visit Vandergrift periodically and it was our distinct pleasure to tour the museum earlier this year. What a grand enterprise, All involved should be proud.

,
Faye and I thoroughly enjoyed "Vandergrift." You captured the essence of the industrial eras represented in a very entertaining fashion. At the finish I selfishly wished Ida Tarbell would have adhered to her fleeting determination to go to the Methodist Church, but I realize that would have been disloyal to McMurtry's preference for Presbyterianism. Thanks for having this delightful performance at Lincolnia
