I have lived in the Eastern Market neighborhood of Capitol
Hill now for 47 years. I have never
stopped loving the place. The Market was
totally restored after being gutted by fire seven years ago. Eastern Market, built in 1873, is far more
than a market. It is a community hub for the Capitol Hill neighborhood and a
cultural destination for visitors from around the world.
