The Latino Vote:  The Reality

Washington, DC – The “Latino vote” is often depicted in the media as the fastest growing and most significant voting bloc in the U.S. that will determine the fate of immigration reform and the destinies of the Democratic and Republican parties in crucial national elections. On Friday, Oct. 31 – five days before the 2014 midterm election - the NPC Newsmakers Committee will host a newsmaker discussion about the realities of the Hispanic electorate with the Director of Research of the PEW Hispanic Center Mark Lopez, and the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute's (CHCI) President/CEO Esther Aguilera. Peggy Sands Orchowski, Congressional Correspondent and Washington Bureau Chief of the Hispanic Outlook magazine, will be the interviewer.

This NPC Newsmakers news conference is scheduled for Tuesday October  31 at 10 a.m. in the club’s Murrow  Room, on the 13th Floor of the National Press Building, 529 14th St. NW, Washington DC 20045.

Like all Newsmaker events, this news conference is open to credentialed press and NPC club members, free of charge. No advance registration is required.
